'Kew Gardens’ (♀) × P. tucumanensis (♂) Description Vine woody, medium sized; flowers 7cm in diameter, pendant; petals and sepals pink/white on adaxial surface; corona filaments in 5 series, white; peduncle 3.5cm; leaves 3-lobed, up to 13cm long x 16 cm wide, sub-coriaceous and undulate; petiole up to 6cm with 1 pair of glands up to 3 mm long closer to leaf base; stipules 4cm x 2cm wide, semi-ovate; bracts pale pink 1cm x 1cm, persistent; androgynophore has ‘trochlea-like’ structure between ovary and anther filaments with an additional, symmetrical and regular set of short filaments; some pollen on anthers; appears to be fertile as a seed parent; fruit mostly pentagonal in cross-section, dark green, lighter green when ripe; arils sweet-tasting, aromatic and citrus-scented. Minimum temperature at least -3C.

'Pamela Jean' Originator Samantha Reynolds and Jim Nevers (USA) Parentage P. ‘Pura Vida’ (♀) × P. amethystina ‘Minas Gerais’ (♂) Description Stem round; flowers 7.5cm in diameter, upright, partly reflexing, no fragrance; petals and sepals purple/pink, sepals green on abaxial surface; peduncle 7-10cm; corona filaments dark purple at base to blue/purple at apex; leaves three-lobed up to 8cm x 20cm; petiole 4.5-6cm, reddens with age; 2-3 pairs of petiole glands; bracts 0.8 x 1.5cm. Named after Ms. Reynolds' aunt. The female parent is the ‘purple form’ of a hybrid of P. ‘Amethyst’ and P. racemosa. Similar to P. ‘Swingtime’, which has a similar parentage.
