Description Vine glabrous, flowers 8cm in diameter, androgynophore held<br />
horizontally, partly reflexing, fragrant; free pollen visible on<br />
anthers; sepals white, 2.5cm long with 0.5cm awn; petals white,<br />
3.0cm long; corona filaments 8cm in diameter in 6 series, outer<br />
series banded purple and white, curly at apex, inner series<br />
mauve at base to pale lavender at apex; leaves 3-lobed, pale<br />
green, membranous, serrated 11cm wide x 10 cm long; stipules<br />
linear-lanceolate, serrated, 0.5cm; petiole 5cm with 2 glands 1/3<br />
from leaf base; peduncle 5cm; bracts not contiguous, 1cm round<br />
with glands. The male parent is a hybrid of P. umbilicata and P.<br />
tucumanensis. The flower shows a strong influence from P.<br />
tucumanensis.
