Description Stem round; flowers 9cm in diameter, strong fragrance<br />

reminiscent of Lilac (Syringia); petals and sepals purple; outer<br />

corona filaments purple with white bands; leaves three-lobed,<br />

occasionally four-lobed, 14.5cm long, 9cm wide; petiole 4.5cm<br />

with two glands; peduncle 4cm; bracts 1.5cm; stipules 0.5cm.<br />

Flowering period May to October. Name after a friend. The<br />

female parent is a tetraploid hybrid of P. cincinnata and P.<br />

incarnata.
