About the Author<br />

Ibrahim Sirkeci is a Professor <strong>and</strong> Pathway Leader <strong>in</strong> MA <strong>in</strong> International Market<strong>in</strong>g Programme at European<br />

Bus<strong>in</strong>ess School London, Regent’s College s<strong>in</strong>ce 2005 <strong>and</strong> lives <strong>in</strong> London, UK. Previously he<br />

worked at the University of Bristol. Professor Sirkeci is a graduate of Bilkent University <strong>and</strong> the University<br />

of Sheffield. His recent research projects focus on market<strong>in</strong>g of bus<strong>in</strong>ess schools, transnational mobile<br />

consumers, <strong>in</strong>ternational migration, conflict, ethnicity <strong>and</strong> f<strong>in</strong>ancial crisis <strong>and</strong> remittances. His recent research<br />

projects have been funded by the British Academy, the Higher Education Academy, <strong>and</strong> the World<br />

Bank. His most recent book, Cultures of Migration is published by the University of Texas Press. His articles<br />

appeared <strong>in</strong> lead<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>ternational scholarly journals. He is the found<strong>in</strong>g editor of Migration Letters<br />

<strong>and</strong> Transnational Market<strong>in</strong>g Journal while also serv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> editorial <strong>and</strong> review boards of several other<br />

academic journals.<br />
