Compliance<br />

The facility’s record <strong>of</strong> compliance regarding numerous, repeated and/or serious noncompliance<br />

with applicable licensing requirements is taken into consideration in<br />

determining whe<strong>the</strong>r to approve <strong>the</strong> request.<br />

An extension will not be approved <strong>for</strong> any facility whose case is under review <strong>for</strong><br />

possible reduction, denial or revocation<br />

Staff<br />

Facility must have enough master teachers to meet minimum licensing requirements<br />

(1:60) be<strong>for</strong>e an extension can be approved.<br />

Current staff needed to meet master teacher ratio must be currently enrolled in or<br />

actively working on meeting educational requirements and are able to provide<br />

documentation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir education status and progress.<br />

Reason <strong>for</strong> extension<br />

Total extensions <strong>of</strong> time to comply granted <strong>for</strong> obtaining or replacing master teachers<br />

may not exceed a total <strong>of</strong> 12 months, unless circumstances are extreme.<br />

One extension, not to exceed 6 months, may be granted <strong>for</strong> those facilities attempting to<br />

go through national reaccreditation.<br />
