Acquire Computers Using a QuickAdd
Package
Requirements

Computers running Mac OS X v10.5 or later
Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) or another deployment tool

To acquire computers using a QuickAdd package:
1. Open the Recon application.
If prompted, enter the DNS name or IP address for the JSS and click Save.
2. Log in using the account that you created when you set up the JSS and click Connect.
3. Select QuickAdd Package in the sidebar.
4. Select the checkbox labeled Ensure that computers added with this QuickAdd package are managed.
5. Specify the account that you want to use for management.
6. If this is a new account, select the checkbox labeled Create this account if it does not exist and the
account will be created for you.
7. Click the Create button.
8. Save the package to the desired location.
9. Deploy the package using ARD or another deployment tool.
