The Best Memories of Today
The Green Quill organized its new
staff, and contracted the American
Yearbook Company, in order to have
a better, more interesting annual this
year.
The quill editors, sponsor, and selected
staff members attended a yearbook
workshop at Augustana College
early in the year. At this workshop,
the staff learned new techniques in
journalism for laying-out pages in
three columns, how to write interesting
copy, and how to capture unique
scenes through photography.
Trying out some of these new ideas,
the Quill staff got to work putting together
their book with long hours of
hard work and diligent help from their
sponsor.
To raise funds to finance the Quill,
the members sponsored a Halloween
dance, a successful faculty basketball
game, and a big candy sale. With the
money obtained through soliciting Kewanee
Businesses and yearbook subscriptions,
the Quill had a good year
financially.
The Quill Staff sincerely hopes you
enjoy this yearbook and will treasure
it always for the memories it holds of
our high school days.
