Lithium battery storage<br />

Refer to H<strong>and</strong>ling <strong>and</strong> storage on page 33<br />

Self-discharge depends on the temperature. The higher the<br />

temperature the greater the self-discharge will be over time.<br />

Shelf lifetime:<br />

The batteries may be stored for up to 10 years with little loss of<br />

capacity. The losses are approximately according to the figures<br />

below (room temperature):<br />

Capacity loss: 1st year -3%<br />

Next 9 years -1.5% per year<br />

Note<br />

Total capacity loss over 10 years will therefore be<br />

approximately 15%.<br />

Alkaline battery pack<br />

An Alkaline battery, the Battery Pack A10/36 (24/24) is<br />

available. This battery pack may be used as a replacement for<br />

the transponder battery, L10/36 (18/30).<br />
