8 MAINTENANCE<br />

No maintenance is normally required, apart from washing the<br />

unit. To change the battery pack, the unit must be dismantled.<br />

For explosion-protected <strong>transponders</strong>, (stainless steel<br />

<strong>transponders</strong>) special maintenance is required. See<br />

paragraph below.<br />

Preventive maintenance<br />

Preventive maintenance is limited to keeping the unit clean.<br />

Caution<br />

Do not use high pressure water as this will damage the<br />

transducer face.<br />

Remove all traces of salt <strong>and</strong> debris.<br />
