How to replace a transponder battery<br />
To replace a transponder battery, proceed as follows:<br />
1 Open the transponder unit.<br />
2 If the transponder is fitted with a release unit, you must<br />
first disconnect <strong>and</strong> remove the release unit.<br />
Refer to page 78 for details.<br />
3 Unplug the battery by :<br />
Support the connector with your left h<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> use a<br />
screw driver to press the release knob, as you pull<br />
out the connector.<br />

4 Remove the four nuts <strong>and</strong> locking washers (A-D) holding<br />
the battery to the chassis.<br />
5 The battery can now be removed from the chassis.<br />
6 Replace the battery pack in the reverse order, as follows:<br />
Mount the four nuts <strong>and</strong> locking washers holding the<br />
battery to the chassis.<br />
