in terms of the MCW0145 sequence,
whereas Wardęcka et al. (2002) reported
3 alleles in each ivestigated breed (156bp
and 206bp both for Green-Legged and
Rhode Island Red–RIR, 196bp–typical
of Green-Legged Partrigenous, 202bp–
–typical of RIR). In broiler chickens,
Weissmann et al. (1998) showed 4 alleles
in locus ADL0306. The length of alleles
noted in Ayam Cemani hens was similar
to that reported for other breeds (Tab. 3).
However, in terms of the selected microsatellite
sequence, some new alleles
have been found in the examined population
of hens, i.e. in locus MCW0145
these were 214bp and 218bp alleles and
in locus ADL0306 these were 119bp and
125bp alleles (Tab. 3).
The frequency of alleles of the microsatellite
sequences determined in the
studied population enabled determining
indices of observed (H O ) and expected
(H E ) heterozygosity as well as the polymorphic
index (PIC). Values of the H E
ranged from 0.41 to 0.64, and these of
the PIC index were slightly lower (Tab.
4). Other authors reported higher values
(ca. 0.7) of these indices (Lujiang et al.,
2006; Tadano et al., 2007b). The highest
percentage (81%) of homozygotes was
reported in the terms of the MCW0184
sequence, while the lowest (4%) in terms
