ioAlginate Beads (BAB)<br />
Alginate is a biopolymer <strong>com</strong>monly used for immobilization of cells, enzymes and encapsulation applications. Due to its characteristic structure,<br />
alginate solution can be rapidly cured by action mainly of bivalent ions. The special curing gives the resulting hydrogel beads with a<br />
characteristic behavior dependent upon conditions of pH, temperature or contents of chelate forming agents or special ions. Cu-Alginate has<br />
been used for immobilized metal-affinity chromatography purification of IgG.<br />
• Microbeads: 100-250µm. Used for protein fractionation & affinity chromatography<br />
• Macrobeads: 200-500µm. Used for enzymes & cell immobilization<br />
