English as a Second Language<br />

Teachers at the English Language Center (TELC) have the knowledge, skills and experience to provide you with meaningful daily language practice through reading, writing, listening,<br />

speaking, field trips and Internet research. We also offer courses that teach you English through art, business, pop culture, blogs and wikis, and dance.<br />

Do you have questions about immigration, life in the United States, your future plans?<br />

Our TELC staff can help. Come study with us and make TELC your home away from home!<br />

You will have access to <strong>LaGuardia</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>’s computer labs, library, gym and swimming pool.<br />

Payment for all ESL courses can be made only with cash, money order, debit card or credit card (American Express, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover). Registration may close at any time,<br />

Day Intensive<br />

Learn English for college, graduate school, and professional advancement in this academic<br />

preparation program. Improve your English reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar<br />

and pronunciation skills. At the intermediate and advanced levels, choose an elective such<br />

as Business English, Dance, Pronunciation, Vocabulary and more! Classes meet U.S.<br />

Government requirements for the issuance of I 20s.<br />

Summer 2011 Registration: Tuesday, June 21 and Wednesday, June 22 11:00am - 3:00pm<br />

The non refundable $50 registration fee is included in the tuition.<br />

Morning Day Intensive<br />

Evening English Program<br />

Are you planning to enroll in a college or university? Do you need to improve your English<br />

skills to advance in your professional career? If so, take this 6 level English program. You will<br />

improve your listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar skills and acquire valuable<br />

college study skills.<br />

Summer 2011 Registration: Monday to Thursday, 4:00pm - 6:00pm, starting<br />

Wednesday, June 29 and Saturday, July 9, 10:00am - 1:00pm in Room C-354.<br />

The non refundable $50 registration fee (4 nights) or $25 registration fee<br />

(2 nights and Saturday) are included in the tuition.<br />
