WHAT IF...<br />
Prepare to take the GED/high school equivalency exam and start building<br />
your future! You will focus on reading, writing and mathematics, and<br />
participate in career planning workshops, presented by academic<br />
counselors. You’ll also receive advisement on opportunities in certification<br />
and college credit programs. This course is open to those 19 years of age<br />
or older.<br />
To apply, you must attend one of the registration dates below.<br />

Saturday, June 18 10:00 am Room E-242/$15<br />
During testing/registration, you will take a 35 minute reading exam, a<br />
20 minute math survey, and provide a writing sample. In order to enroll in<br />
the course, you must pass all three sections. If you've taken the GED exam<br />
before, depending on your test scores, you may be exempt from testing at<br />
the time of testing/registration. To find out if you are exempt, bring your<br />
GED test scores to testing/registration.<br />
The total cost is $255 ($240 for the course and $15 for the testing fee,<br />
paid separately). The course fee can be paid by credit card, check or money<br />
order; the testing fee can be paid by check or money order. If paying by<br />
check or money order, please leave blank until completion of the<br />
registration process. Students receiving public assistance (PA) receive a<br />
50% discount. PA recipients must show a benefit card. Those 65 years<br />
of age and older receive a 30% discount.<br />

Prepárese para tomar el Examen de Equivalencia del Bachillerato y empiece<br />
a planear su futuro. Estudiará lectura, escritura y matemáticas y<br />
participará en talleres sobre las carreras, presentados por consejeros<br />
académicos. También habrá asesoría sobre programas de certificación<br />
profesional y de universidad. Este curso se ofrece a estudiantes que tienen<br />
19 años de edad o más.<br />

Durante la sesión de matrícula, tendrá que tomar un examen en<br />
comprensión de lectura de 35 minutos, un examen de matemáticas de<br />
20 minutos, y un breve examen de escritura. Tiene que pasar los tres<br />
exámenes para poder matricularse en el curso. Si ha tomado el Examen<br />
de Equivalencia del Bachillerato en el pasado, dependiendo de sus<br />
calificaciones, tal vez puede ser excusado de los exámenes de matrícula.<br />
Para averiguar,<br />
traiga una copia de sus calificaciones del Examen de Equivalencia del<br />
Bachillerato a la sesión de matrícula.<br />
