P500 PACKING INSTRUCTION P500
This instruction applies to UN No. 3356.
The following packagings are authorized, provided that the general provisions of 4.1.1
and 4.1.3 are met:
Drums (1A2, 1B2, 1N2, 1H2, 1D, 1G);
Boxes (4A, 4B, 4N, 4C1, 4C2, 4D, 4F, 4G, 4H1, 4H2);
Jerricans (3A2, 3B2, 3H2).
Packagings must conform to the packing group II performance level.
The generator(s) must be transported in a package which meets the following
requirements when one generator in the package is actuated:
(a)
(b)
Other generators in the package will not be actuated;
Packaging material will not ignite; and
(c) The outside surface temperature of the completed package must not exceed 100
°C.

In the text for "Combination packagings", (1), insert ", 4N" after
"4B" and replace "drums (1A2, 1B2, 1N2, 1H2, 1D) or jerricans
(3A2, 3B2, 3H2)" with "drums (1A1, 1A2, 1B1, 1B2, 1N1, 1N2,
1H1, 1H2, 1D) or jerricans (3A1, 3A2, 3B1, 3B2, 3H1, 3H2)".
Amend the entries under "Outer packagings", "Drums" to read:
