Overview
Processes are not dependent on the data that is in a particular Petrel project. They are
part of the Petrel application and will always be available regardless of the current Petrel
project.
Process Diagram
The Process Diagram is a user interface in Petrel that allows the end user to interact with
processes.
The Process diagram displays all processes: native Petrel processes and custom processes.
Native Petrel processes are grouped according to function. Custom processes can be
placed at any location in any group or added to a new group; they are put into the Plugins
group by default.
The order of the groups and the order of the processes within the groups are significant.
The Petrel convention is that the listed order is generally the order in which the end user
should run the processes.
When you add a custom process to Petrel, you should conform to the Petrel ordering
convention. Custom processes can be added to any group at any location to support this.
