Mr. Hakkim, S/o. Agamad residing at Alli Muppan Street, Kadayanallur, Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli
District and Mr. Abdul Kadar, S/o. Ikbal of Sivakasi, who is a priest at Kadayanallur have stuck notices
for the Human Justice Federation in that area, regarding the bomb blast at Coimbatore. Then the sub
inspector and the head constable went there. And the head constable took both of them to the police
station. Mr. Ashok Kumar, the deputy superintendent went there and abused both of them on pretext of
their religion (Islam) and beat them. The police of the concerned police station also beat them. Then the
police took both of them to the Government Hospital at Kadayanallur and then produced them before
the Tenkasi Magistrate. After that, both of them came out on a Conditional Bail on 05/03/08. Based on
the order of the Court, both of them are signing everyday at 10.00am and at 5.00pm.

The victim Kathir alias Pappu (30 years) is residing at Mandaikadu village, Kalkullam Taluk. While
riding on his two wheeler with his friend Ajis on 18.05.08 at 7pm in the evening he was stopped near the
Kulachal police station by Rajamarthandam, Sub Inspector and a constable of the same station. The
police ask the Kathir if he was drunken and driving. Kathir stated that he had not drunk and went on to
have dinner with his friend. The sub inspector told the constable that they were thieves and asked him
to take them both to the police station for inquiry. Kathir murmured that today he was the prey for the
police. Hearing this the pub inspecor slapped him, took his cell phone and verbally abused him. Then
he was made to wait till 10.30 pm at the Police station. Afterwards he was taken to the government
