. ANNOUNCEMENT<br />

Additionai program information is now available regarding the Helmut<br />

G. Heinrich Short Course on <strong>Parachute</strong> Systems Technology. The meeting is<br />

scheduled for July 19-23,1982, and wil'l be held at the Earle Brown Center<br />

on the St. Paul Canpus of the University of Minnesota.<br />

ln addition to having Mr. T.W. Knacke and Dr. lililliam Garrard, we have<br />

rece'ived preliminary acceptarices from a number of government and industry<br />

experts who wil'l address the program topics. The course content, where<br />

appropriate, w'lll emphasize the applicat'ion of computers to parachute design,<br />

rnodeling and simulation<br />

Attached is a prelintinary program schedule and registration form.<br />

Please note the $50 discount on reglstration if you register prior to May 15.<br />

Enrollment is limited to 75 to assure an appropriate learning environment.<br />

Following is some additional information which will be he'lpful to you<br />

if you are pldnning to attend the conference.<br />

1- The Minneapol'is Hilton Inn has been selected as the headquarters<br />

hotel. Their address is 1330 Industrial Blvd. , Minneapol is, MN<br />

55413. Telephone - (6LZ) 331-1900. Room rates at the Hilton are<br />

$50 single and $62 double. Reservations should be made at ledst<br />

2 weeks prior to the course.<br />

?. English will be the official language of the course.<br />

3. The registration fee includes tuition, a printed set of course<br />

materials, lunches, refreshment breaks, and transportation to and<br />

fronr field trip sites. Transportation from the Hilton Hotel to the<br />

Earle Brown Center will also be available.<br />
