. ANNOUNCEMENT
Additionai program information is now available regarding the Helmut
G. Heinrich Short Course on Parachute Systems Technology. The meeting is
scheduled for July 19-23,1982, and wil'l be held at the Earle Brown Center
on the St. Paul Canpus of the University of Minnesota.
ln addition to having Mr. T.W. Knacke and Dr. lililliam Garrard, we have
rece'ived preliminary acceptarices from a number of government and industry
experts who wil'l address the program topics. The course content, where
appropriate, w'lll emphasize the applicat'ion of computers to parachute design,
rnodeling and simulation
Attached is a prelintinary program schedule and registration form.
Please note the $50 discount on reglstration if you register prior to May 15.
Enrollment is limited to 75 to assure an appropriate learning environment.
Following is some additional information which will be he'lpful to you
if you are pldnning to attend the conference.
1- The Minneapol'is Hilton Inn has been selected as the headquarters
hotel. Their address is 1330 Industrial Blvd. , Minneapol is, MN
55413. Telephone - (6LZ) 331-1900. Room rates at the Hilton are
$50 single and $62 double. Reservations should be made at ledst
2 weeks prior to the course.
?. English will be the official language of the course.
3. The registration fee includes tuition, a printed set of course
materials, lunches, refreshment breaks, and transportation to and
fronr field trip sites. Transportation from the Hilton Hotel to the
Earle Brown Center will also be available.
