Options <strong>for</strong> Compatibility<br />

The following options help you maintain compatibility between your <strong>XL</strong> <strong>Fortran</strong><br />

source code on past, current, and future hardware plat<strong>for</strong>ms or help you port<br />

programs to <strong>XL</strong> <strong>Fortran</strong> with a minimum of changes.<br />

subject in more detail. “Duplicating the Floating-Point<br />

Results of Other Systems” on page 295 explains how to use<br />

compatible with other systems.<br />

The -qfree=ibm <strong>for</strong>m of the “-qfree Option” on page 168 also provides<br />
