In the United States, we have been collaborating with Harvest Partners, Inc. (New York)
since 1985. Harvest Partners currently has some one billion US dollars under management.
Over the last 20 years, the company has provided equity to more than 60 enterprises,
many of them leaders in their industries. Deutsche Beteiligungs AG has been the
lead investor in all funds raised by Harvest Partners so far. The Harvest Partners IV fund
is currently in the investing phase.
Our private equity partner in Austria is Unternehmens Invest AG (UIAG, Vienna). The
inception of this partnership dates back to 1992. Currently, we jointly hold interests in
Andritz AG, JCK Holding GmbH Textil KG, and ET Multimedia AG. Deutsche Beteiligungs
AG owns 25.1 percent of the shares in UIAG, and we are jointly the lead investor
in Univest AG, a fund raised in 2000.
We have access to the French private equity market through Quartus Gestion S.A.
(Paris), a fund management company we sponsored jointly with the management.
Deutsche Beteiligungs AG is the co-initiator and principal investor in the fund Quartus
Capital Partners I.
