Some American women make their
own dresses, and many make clothes
for their children. The majority of
Americans, however, buy their
clothes ready-made. Mrs. Dawson is
always well-dressed. She says that
she usually buys her clothes. She
also tells me that she doesn‘t spend a
lot of money for them.
There are several department stores
in an American city. There are other
small stores, too; but people like the
big stores because they can usually
do all their shopping in one place.
Many department stores also have a
restaurant for lunch.
