Notas:
1. Gosh! es una interjección semejante a ¡Hala!
2. Golly! y Gee! son interjecciones semejantes a decir
¡Qué barbaridad!
3. Cross my heart! es un modismo que significa
―prómetemelo‖ (literalmente dice ―crúzame el corazón‖,
pero no es ése su significado en su uso).
4. La canción se trata de una niña hija única, que desea
tener un hermanito o hermanita, para no estar sola. Es
en sí una moraleja que estimula a no prevenir el
nacimiento de los hijos, sino procurar que nazcan
libremente.
