factory. They believed that because a medicine made by a Pharmacist is for an individual,<br />

specific patient that would work better and be safer. Finally, the participating children were<br />

strongly of the opinion that, in affairs like this, we need to take their views into account and<br />

involve them in making decisions about the medicines they receive.<br />

Conclusions: This research is providing clear evidence that children as young as eight years<br />

old are able to understand the role of the Pharmacist in preparing medicines extemporaneously<br />

for sick children and issues which surround this. This study provides a benchmark for further<br />

exploratory research in this area.<br />
