support diverse databases. This storage area network used<br />

by the <strong>Court</strong> will be available to the <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>Court</strong>s Network<br />

system.<br />

Office <strong>of</strong> Information Technology<br />

The Office <strong>of</strong> Information Technology develops, implements<br />

and maintains the various information systems and<br />

applications used by the <strong>Court</strong> and its affiliated <strong>of</strong>fices.<br />

Office <strong>of</strong> Network & Technology<br />

Resources<br />

The Office <strong>of</strong> Network & Technology Resources manages<br />

the <strong>Court</strong>’s computer network, network security, help desk,<br />

s<strong>of</strong>tware training classes and s<strong>of</strong>tware implementation, as well<br />

as copiers, technology-related purchases, audiovisual systems,<br />

teleconferencing systems and telecommunications (voice,<br />

data and video).<br />

Technology Services Section<br />

The Technology Services Section assists other courts in the<br />

state with technology-related decisions and projects, such<br />

as the use <strong>of</strong> case management systems and equipment<br />

purchases.<br />

In <strong>2006</strong>, Technology Services staff completed 14 courtassistance<br />

projects, ranging from upgrading the case<br />

management system to assisting in developing multimedia<br />

courtrooms, and providing 13 project guidebooks to courts<br />

to assist in managing their technology projects. The new<br />

appellate case management system was successfully installed<br />

in the 6 th , 9 th and 12 th district courts <strong>of</strong> appeals.<br />
