This 1953 <strong>Hudson</strong> Limousine, featuring a<br />

custom Derham body, was used <strong>by</strong> the last president<br />

of <strong>Hudson</strong>, Mr. A. E. Barit<br />

This was originally a 1951 model, but was<br />

upgraded to a 1953 model <strong>by</strong> the factory.<br />

It is currently (2010) in the Miller Motors<br />

museum in Ypsilanti, MI<br />

1949 - <strong>Hudson</strong>’s 40th Anniversary. <strong>The</strong><br />

company would not survive the sales wars of the<br />

1950’s to celebrate it’s 50th anniversary.<br />

Offered in no less than 8 standard, four special and four<br />

2-tone body colors these models also featured a power top in<br />

maroon, black or tan and electric/hydraulic power windows.<br />

<strong>The</strong> car weighed in at 3,865 pounds and cost $2,893. <strong>The</strong><br />

Custom Commodore Six was similar but weighed 3,840<br />

pounds and cost only $2,809. Super-Six and Pacemaker convertibles<br />
