This 1953 Hudson Limousine, featuring a custom Derham body, was used by the last president of Hudson, Mr. A. E. Barit This was originally a 1951 model, but was upgraded to a 1953 model by the factory. It is currently (2010) in the Miller Motors museum in Ypsilanti, MI 1949 - Hudson’s 40th Anniversary. The company would not survive the sales wars of the 1950’s to celebrate it’s 50th anniversary. Offered in no less than 8 standard, four special and four 2-tone body colors these models also featured a power top in maroon, black or tan and electric/hydraulic power windows. The car weighed in at 3,865 pounds and cost $2,893. The Custom Commodore Six was similar but weighed 3,840 pounds and cost only $2,809.
