22. Attach the fuel tank (if applicable) using bolts<br />

or wedging the tank in the blower housing slots<br />

provided. Attach the fuel line and secure with<br />

clamps.<br />

23. Slide the fuel line on the carburetor fitting and<br />

secure with a clamp. Slide the breather tube<br />

on the carburetor or air cleaner fitting if<br />

applicable.<br />

NOTE: If the tank is supplied by the O.E.M.<br />

replace the fuel filter. Tecumseh's tanks have<br />

a fuel filter in the tank and service is not<br />

necessary.<br />

24. Fill the engine with oil to the full mark on the<br />

dipstick. Add fresh fuel to the fuel tank and<br />

secure the cap.<br />

25. Install the spark plug and high tension lead.<br />

Mount the engine to the equipment and<br />

connect wiring and control cables. OVRM<br />

rotary mower engines require the blade to be<br />

secured to the blade hub adapter and<br />

crankshaft before attempting to start the<br />

engine.<br />

26. Start the engine and allow it to run<br />

approximately five minutes to reach operating<br />

temperature. Optimize the carburetor if<br />

adjustable, verify top no load and idle RPM<br />

settings.<br />
