<strong>OVERHEAD</strong> <strong>VALVE</strong> TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS<br />
The torque specifications listed in this chart are to be used for replacing components after disassembly, not for<br />
checking an existing engine bolt torque. Checking a torque value on a new or used engine may be lower due<br />
to torque relaxation that occurs on all engines from thermal expansion and contraction. However, sufficient<br />
clamping force exists and a re-torque is not necessary.<br />
Specifications below ten ft. lbs. torque are listed only as in. lb. measurements to encourage the use of an inch<br />
pound torque wrench for greater torque accuracy.<br />
