Topics
The National Centre of
Competence in Research
(NCCR) “MUST – Molecular
Ultrafast Science and
Technology” opens up new
perspectives for the study
of molecular systems and
time-resolved structural
investigations in physics,
chemistry and biology. The
NCCR MUST focuses on the
multidisciplinary development
of experimental and
theoretical tools. Therefore
researchers will investigate
chemical reactions and energy-transfer
processes at
the atomic and molecular
level, as well as electron
and proton transfer processes
with ultra short temporal
and spatial resolution.
A deeper understanding of
matter at microscopic level
is crucial for dealing with
important social challenges
such as the quest for alternative
energy sources, the
synthesis of complex functional
medicines and the
development of new electronic
devices.
