The accelerations acting on the people on the bridge were calculated for the<br />
significant roll periods 8.5 s, 9.0 s and 9.5 s at a vessel speed of 2 kts and an<br />
encounter angle of 150° (waves approaching at a 30° angle from ahead), which<br />
corresponds to the accident situation. Calculations with waves approaching from<br />
further abeam brought no fundamental changes. In the following three figures, the<br />
accelerations are shown as histograms with a simulation time of 10,000 s:<br />
