Expectations
The focus is on students becoming more aware of the
language requirements of work, community and leisure
activities. They also develop their own communication skills,
with a balance of written and spoken activities. Students will
be expected to use a range of modern technologies in their
course, both for study and for the production of their own
texts.
Assessment
Assessment is both written and spoken and a range of tasks
are completed over the two years of the course. The final
result is based on student performance as represented by a
folio of specified tasks. At least 50% of assessment is through
spoken tasks. Assessment will include some written pieces
completed under controlled conditions.
