<strong>St</strong>udents with an interest in enhancing their<br />

understanding of matter, achieving knowledge and<br />

useful research and experimental skills, developing<br />

their scientific literacy and numeracy skills and<br />

their critical and creative thinking skills should<br />

strongly consider studying Chemistry.<br />

<strong>St</strong>udents who study Chemistry should have a<br />

sound background in Year 10 Science, a good<br />

understanding of Mathematics B, an inquiring<br />

mind, and be prepared to work diligently.<br />

Chemistry is a subject suitable for students<br />

continuing on to tertiary level studies. It is a<br />

prerequisite subject for some university courses of<br />
