a chance to make it
in life.
Fast forward 10
years down the line,
Jah Warria (born
Irvine
Kamudyariwa)
has managed to change
that perception.
The 30
yearold
reggae artiste who is also a
professional graphic designer said he gets
inspiration from God and some household
names in the reggae genre.
“I’m inspired by the most high and
certain ones and ones in the community.
“Musically I am inspired by one of
the greatest reggae bands Black Uhuru,
Steel Pulse and of course Sizzla and Jah
Mason,” he said.
As has been the case with all other
artistes, Jah Warria’s music journey has
not been an easy stroll in the park. He
had to take a long route which brought
him through the ranks of a church choir
before turning to his preferred reggae
music later on in his career.
“I started music when I was young,
singing in the church choir but decided
to go professional
