3-3. OPERATOR MAINTENANCE (CONT).<br />
To repair damaged air ducts.<br />
(1) Cut or tear a piece of tape 4 inches longer than cut or slit.<br />
(2) Position tape on outside of duct and press firmly in place. For added strength position extra tape<br />
completely around taped area of duct.<br />
c. Replacing Gaskets. This procedure is used for the hose adapter and the filter adapter.<br />
(1) Remove old gasket (1 or 2).<br />
(2) Using knife (Item 6, App D), scrape old adhesive and gasket material from the adapter surface.<br />
(3) Peel away backing tape from new adapter gasket.<br />
(4) Position gasket on adapter (3) with adhesive side toward hose; press firmly in place.<br />
