When very little overjet can be set (usually due to ridge position and jaw relation<br />

problems), a lingualized occlusion (left) should be set to have less, or in some cases, no<br />

overbite. This will prevent incisor contact causing immediate separation of the<br />

posterior teeth in excursive movements.<br />

Occlusal adjustment<br />

Occlusal adjustment is almost always required to optimum occlusion.
