Various Activities Conducted in the JBCGKG School :<br />
Inter school essay competition was held in the school.13 students from various schools<br />
participated. Winners were given prizes.<br />
On ‘Plantation Day’, Mrs. Ila Sharma, President Tatrakshika (A&N) was the chief guest. Each<br />
child brought one pot . About 95 plants were planted. Children were <strong>to</strong>ld about the importance of our<br />
environment.<br />
‘Independence Day’ was celebrated in the school. The National Flag was hoisted by the Chairman<br />
<strong>and</strong> children presented patriotic songs.<br />
On Raksha B<strong>and</strong>han, teachers applied tilak <strong>and</strong> tied rakhis on the wrists of the students. On the<br />
same day Onam was also celebrated. Rangoli was made with flowers <strong>and</strong> children were <strong>to</strong>ld why the<br />
festivals are celebrated.<br />
English Recitation competition was held. About 20 students from each class participated.Such<br />
competitions are held <strong>to</strong> make the children confident <strong>and</strong> eliminate stage fright.<br />
On the eve of Janmashtami the children participated in inter school competitions held in Chinmaya<br />
Mission <strong>and</strong> Vivekan<strong>and</strong>a Kendriya Vidyalaya.<br />
SAKSHARTA<br />
A Career Counselling Mela “On The Right Track” was organised, where the Direc<strong>to</strong>r IGNOU<br />
interacted with the parents <strong>and</strong> later informed about career options available <strong>to</strong> the children.<br />
A visit of EPs ladies <strong>to</strong> the Head Post Office was organised <strong>to</strong> apprise them about various saving<br />
schemes, speed post, e-post, tax benefits etc.<br />
