MY PET<br />
My excellent marks won me a bet<br />
My father promised <strong>to</strong> buy me a pet<br />
So, we went searching <strong>to</strong> kennels <strong>and</strong> cages<br />
And found pets of all sizes <strong>and</strong> ages<br />
Some were black <strong>and</strong> some were brown<br />
Those not happy, wore a frown<br />
The dogs were hot <strong>and</strong> the cats were cool<br />
The parrots <strong>and</strong> Myenas could be taken <strong>to</strong> school<br />
The kittens were cunning <strong>and</strong> gave me a shrug<br />
The pups showed affection <strong>and</strong> asked for a hug<br />
Since we had decided, the pet will be called Yuppy<br />
Me <strong>and</strong> my dad bought home a puppy<br />
