UEFA coefficient<br />
The UEFA coefficient rankings are based on the results of all European clubs in<br />
UEFA club competition and are used for ranking and seeding teams in club and<br />
international competitions. Three different sets of coefficients are calculated:<br />
National team coefficient, Country coefficient, Club coefficient.<br />
The national team coefficient is used to rank national teams, for seeding in the<br />
UEFA Euro qualifying and finals tournaments.<br />
The country coefficient is used to rank the collective performance of the clubs of<br />
each member association, for assigning the number of places for each member<br />
association in the UEFA Champions League (1.-3. Rank receive 4 places, 4.-6.<br />
Rank receive 3 places) and UEFA Europa League (1.-6. Rank receives 3 places).<br />
This coefficient is determined by the results of the clubs of the associations in the<br />
UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League over the past five<br />
seasons.<br />

The club coefficient: used to rank individual clubs, for seeding in the UEFA<br />
Champions League and UEFA Europa League. The club coefficient rankings are<br />
determined by the results of the individual clubs in the UEFA Champions League<br />
and the UEFA Europa League over the previous five seasons<br />
