faculty advisory committee to<br />
the undergraduate program 2009 -10<br />
Chaired by Maurie McInnis (<strong>Jefferson</strong> Scholar Class of 1988), the newly appointed associate dean<br />
for undergraduate academic programs at the University, the Faculty Advisory Committee for the<br />
Undergraduate Program consists of faculty members who will assist the <strong>Foundation</strong> in two specific<br />
ways. They will: 1) aid in recruiting new <strong>Jefferson</strong> <strong>Scholars</strong> by meeting with finalists during Selection<br />
Weekend, serving on faculty panels or as seminar leaders, and following up afterwards with those<br />
finalists with whom they had significant interaction; 2) provide current <strong>Jefferson</strong> <strong>Scholars</strong> with better<br />
access to faculty, particularly people to whom they can turn for informal advising. The group had its<br />
first meeting in February to map out a plan for the year. The following faculty members have agreed<br />
