Wayne Boyd has a significant<br />
background in law and merchant<br />
banking. Wayne is Chairman of<br />
Telecom Corporation of New Zealand<br />
Limited, Freightways Limited,<br />
<strong>Meridian</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> Limited and Vulcan<br />
Steel Limited.<br />
Wayne is a former Chairman of<br />
Auckland International Airport<br />
Limited and Director of Forsyth<br />
Barr Group Limited.<br />
In the past, Wayne was employed by<br />
Bancorp Holdings Limited. He was<br />
also Chairman of the South Island<br />
Interim Development Group which<br />
was charged with the establishment<br />
of <strong>Meridian</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> Limited. Wayne<br />
has been involved in community<br />
organisations as a Director of Sports<br />
and Recreation New Zealand and<br />
Chairman of both New Zealand Blood<br />
Service Limited and the New Zealand<br />
Hockey Federation.<br />

Ray was appointed Deputy Chair<br />
of <strong>Meridian</strong> <strong>Energy</strong> in April 2006.<br />
Ray is the Managing Director of<br />
Ray Watson Associates Limited, he<br />
was Chief Executive of Ngai Tahu<br />
Development Corporation from 2001<br />
until early 2005 and prior to that he<br />
held the position of Chief Executive<br />
of Lakeland Health Limited from<br />
1996. Ray is a Commissioner with the<br />
Mental Health Commission and was<br />
previously a ministerial appointment<br />
to the New Zealand Māori Arts<br />
and Crafts Institute, the National<br />
Advisory Committee on Health and<br />
Disability Services and the Otago<br />
District Health Board.<br />

Anne Blackburn is a banker by<br />
professional background, having<br />
had earlier careers in journalism<br />
and diplomacy. She is currently a<br />
Director of a number of businesses<br />
in the infrastructure, finance,<br />
investment and research sectors.<br />
She also holds governance positions<br />
in arts and education not-for-profit<br />
organisations.<br />
