The new intranet system not only will replace the existing MTB, but it will become the central hub of business activity, collaboration and information sharing for the entire community. The new portal will be rolled out in phases starting later this year. The planning committee has assured the Thunderbird community that all information they currently are able to access will continue to be available throughout the implementation and afterward. obile is here thunderbird: there’s an app for that Available now for iPhone and iPad download free from the App Store Android and mobile Web coming this spring Editor’s note: Thunderbird’s mobile technology securely draws data and information from My Thunderbird (MTB); the Thunderbird Web Site; the Thunderbird Knowledge Network; and the Alumni B2B directory. The App is available and free to anyone, but only alumni, students and employees of Thunderbird can access data related to profiles and searching for T-Birds. Find Thunderbird on iTunesU New video site in China A new file-sharing site on iTunesU allows anyone with Internet access to view and download Thunderbird School of Global Management videos and audio podcasts for free. Content includes more than 600 videos from Thunderbird’s YouTube channel and more than 60 audio files from Thunderbird’s podcasts page. Visit www.thunderbird.edu/itunes to tour the iTunesU channel, which went public on Feb. 11, 2011. More than 150 videos featuring Thunderbird professors, guest speakers, students and alumni are now available to Chinese viewers at www.tudou.com/ home/thunderbirdus. Thunderbird set up the Tudou channel as an alternative to YouTube, which is blocked in China and certain other countries.
