mass and tire type are different. It is considered that because of these differences the differences in
vehicle behavior can be seen.
3.4 Effect of differences in vehicle speed on vehicle behavior
The vehicle speed was varied and simulation of vehicle behavior was carried out to confirm the effect of
differences in vehicle speed on the vehicle behavior. The vehicle speeds were the 2 patterns of 40km/h
and 60km/h, and the vehicle parameters were those of the medium vehicle shown in Table 1. Figure 5
shows the PSD comparison results for vertical and lateral acceleration.
From the results in Figure 5, it can be seen that there are differences in the PSDs due to the difference in
vehicle speed. Also, the PSD tends to be slightly larger in all frequency bands in the case of 60km/h
compared with 40km/h.
From these results, it can be seen that there are differences in vehicle behavior due to differences in the
vehicle speed, and as the vehicle speed increases the fluctuations in vehicle behavior increase. The reason
for this is considered to be that even assuming the vehicle travels on the same trajectory, the response of
the vehicle to the unevenness of the road surface is different due to the difference in vehicle speed.
