In accordance with the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Council</str<strong>on</strong>g> of Australian Government guidelines for c<strong>on</strong>sultati<strong>on</strong> RIS<br />

development, the ‘business cost calculator’ has been applied to some opti<strong>on</strong>s to draw out more<br />

informati<strong>on</strong> about the assumpti<strong>on</strong>s <strong>and</strong> costs to small, medium <strong>and</strong> large businesses. In preparing<br />

the c<strong>on</strong>sultati<strong>on</strong> RIS the m<strong>and</strong>atory charge <strong>and</strong> ban opti<strong>on</strong>s (opti<strong>on</strong> J <strong>and</strong> opti<strong>on</strong> L respectively)<br />

appeared to be the regulatory opti<strong>on</strong>s that could be implemented most effectively if regulati<strong>on</strong> is<br />

deemed necessary. As such, the business cost calculator has been applied to these opti<strong>on</strong>s <strong>and</strong> can<br />

be reviewed under secti<strong>on</strong> 7.4.<br />
