NOMINATION TO NATIONAL/<br />
INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEES<br />
M. Balasundaran<br />
was nominated as Expert member, Board of Studies in Environmental Sciences,<br />
<strong>Kerala</strong> University.<br />
K.M. Bhat<br />
served as Dy. Coordinator IUFRO Division 5 (<strong>Forest</strong> Products) since 2000 and<br />
founder Coordinator of Teakwood Working Party (IUFRO Div. 5.06.02).<br />
was elected as Board Member of International Academy of Wood Science for the<br />
period 2006-2012.<br />
was nominated as Member of Editorial Board, Wood Science and Technology - a<br />
refereed international journal from Germany.<br />
T.K. Dhamodaran<br />
was nominated as Technical Expert Member of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV)<br />
of the <strong>Kerala</strong> Furniture Consortium, Ernakulam District, Valluvanadu Wood<br />
Consortium, Malappuram District and their Equipment (Plant & Machineries) Purchase<br />
Committee constituted by the State Government.<br />
E.P. Indira<br />
was nominated as a member of the 'Regional Variety Testing Committee' of IFGTB<br />
to streamline the process of registration and release of clones in southern states of<br />
Tamil Nadu, <strong>Kerala</strong>, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.<br />
was nominated as a Member of Board of Examiners for the M.Sc. Plantation<br />
Development Course, Calicut University.<br />
E.A. Jayson<br />
was selected as a member of the Management Effectiveness Evaluation Committee<br />
of the Ministry of Environment and <strong>Forest</strong>s. He visited Mookambika Wildlife<br />
Sanctuary in Karnataka (13-15 October <strong>2008</strong>) and Eravikulam National Park<br />
(7-8 November <strong>2008</strong>) and submitted the report to the Ministry.<br />
C.N. Krishnankutty<br />
was invited for giving a lecture on 'Wood-based Industries in <strong>Kerala</strong> and Future<br />
Wood Availability' on 9 April <strong>2008</strong> at the State-level meeting of the Central<br />
Empowered Committee appointed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, chaired by Mr.<br />
T.M. Manoharan, IFS, PCCF, Government of <strong>Kerala</strong>.<br />
