Dynamic wind effects-along wind load-across wind load,flutter,galloping,buffeting,other wind effects<br />
Various national codes on wind engineering-comparison.<br />
Module III<br />
Examples on wind load calculations as per IS 875 (part 3)-wind load calculation on special structures such as<br />
cooling towers,rail/roadsbrides and tall chimneys<br />

Question Paper:<br />
Duration:3 hours<br />
The question paper consists <strong>of</strong> Part A and Part B.<br />
Part A carries 40 marks. There will be 8 compulsory short answer questions covering entire syllabus.<br />
Part B is for 60 marks. There will be 2 questions from each module. The candidate has to answer one question<br />
<strong>of</strong> 20 marks from each module.<br />
Use <strong>of</strong> IS 875 (Part 3) is permitted in the examination hall.<br />
