Chapter 4. Using the Library<br />
Getting Information from the Picker’s LED<br />
The robotic picker’s light-emitting diode (LED), visible through the window of the<br />
library, shines either green or amber. The colored light indicates the status of the<br />
picker. The following table describes the LED operational modes and the information<br />
conveyed by these operating modes.<br />

Information<br />
The picker is idle and the library is ready for use; this is the normal operating mode.<br />
The picker is active and functioning properly.<br />
The library is not ready for use.<br />
Verify that the door is shut and that the library SCSI connection is terminated and is within<br />
specifications; see Appendix B. SCSI Cable and Terminator Requirements.<br />
Failure. For example; to indicate a jam condition. Locate the source of the jam to return<br />
the picker to its normal state.<br />
The library configuration switch has been changed since the last power-up and the library<br />
is changing its configuration (as explained in Chapter 3. Configuring the Library).<br />
