SERVICES: A six week course designed to teach participants to use anger in ways that are constructive and healthy. One class<br />

SERVICES: The Family Support <strong>Services</strong> Program assists parents and caregivers with the development of skills necessary to<br />
parent children with emotional and mental health challenges. FSS works to strengthen and support family relationships as well as<br />
assist in the development of outside support systems. FSS provides supportive level counseling for children and families, various<br />
groups for children and/or parents, advocacy, information and referrals to other serves as needed. The FSS program is primarily<br />
home-based. All referrals come to FSS through <strong>Oswego</strong> <strong>County</strong> Children’s SPOA (963-5072).<br />

SERVICES: Families with a developmentally disabled member are faced with additional demands while continuing to maintain<br />
quality of life for the entire family. Often families need a break.<br />
The Family Support Program sponsored by the ARC of <strong>Oswego</strong> <strong>County</strong> recognizes this need for parents and care givers to<br />
receive some relief. The program provides evening and weekend respite to families by taking the developmentally disabled<br />
member to community events on a one-to-one or small group basis. A Leisure Counselor provides assistance, supervision, and<br />
transportation. The individual served is only responsible for their cost of the activity selected (i.e. admission ticket to a movie).<br />
The program is open to any <strong>Oswego</strong> <strong>County</strong> resident age 18 and over with a developmental disability who lives at home with a<br />
family member. Service hours vary during evenings and weekends.<br />

SERVICE: Peaceful Conflict Resolution (P.C.R.) is a 10 session, pre-designed program that focuses on three components: anger<br />
awareness, interpersonal skill development and empathy. Who is P.C.R. for? This program is for youth, families or individual<br />
adults who are having difficulties with peaceful conflict resolution skills. Participant must have the ability to work in a group setting<br />
and want to change their behavior. Individual and family and adult services are available. Referrals accepted on a fee-for-service<br />
basis.<br />
