SERVICES: The activities, functions and services that the <strong>County</strong> Clerk’s Office handles are varied. Deeds, mortgages, maps,<br />
liens, judgments, foreclosures and court cases are filed or recorded in the Clerk’s office, as well as other documents such as<br />
divorces, adoption records, power of attorney, business certificates, corporations, veterans’ discharges, and other miscellaneous<br />

SERVICES: The <strong>Oswego</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board of Elections is established by New York State as a bipartisan agency responsible for<br />
administering and enforcing all laws relating to elections in <strong>Oswego</strong> <strong>County</strong>. The Board is the primary custodian of all election<br />
records and maintains files for all registered voters.<br />
The Board employs an office staff of eight and two warehouse/voting system technicians and part time warehouse workers. The<br />
agency trains and certifies over 500 election inspectors, poll clerks, and election coordinators and is responsible for the creation,<br />
consolidation, division and alteration of election districts and for the selection of polling sites in <strong>Oswego</strong> <strong>County</strong>.<br />
The Board operates a main office and a voting machine warehouse to provide voting machines, support and services to 124<br />
election districts and 56 poll sites and is responsible for the implementation of the federal Help America Vote Act (HAVA).<br />
