Support <strong>Services</strong><br />

AIDS <strong>Community</strong> Resources provides a broad range of case management and follow-up services including housing assistance,<br />

crisis intervention, support groups, and advocacy for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.<br />

Youth Prevention and Education <strong>Services</strong>:<br />

Teen AIDS Task Force (TATF) chapters are in dozens of middle and high schools in our nine county service area. TATF members<br />

receive specialized training, and in turn, provide accurate and up-to-date information on HIV/AIDS to the student body and the<br />

broader community. To learn more about TATF or to start a new chapter, call Wenona Wake at 800-475-2430.<br />

Adult Prevention and Education <strong>Services</strong>:<br />

Educational services are offered to health and human service agencies, businesses, colleges, schools, prisons, service clubs, and<br />

day care centers through AIDS <strong>Community</strong> Resources’ Speakers Bureau, a group of people living with AIDS who share the<br />

lessons they have learned. Contact Wenona Wake at 1-800-475-2430.<br />

CONNECT is a service that works to help build a safer adult GLBT community through education, support groups, counseling,<br />

workshops, prevention and outreach programs.<br />

Volunteer Opportunities:<br />

Trained, caring volunteers answer the agency’s hotline, support clients through the buddy program and hospital visits, provide<br />

education through street outreach, mentor GLBTQ youth, assist with special events and participate in social and recreational<br />

activities.<br />

SERVICES: Your American Diabetes Association is the only organization supporting all people with diabetes: people with type 1<br />

and type 2 diabetes, children and adults. We help those who care for people with diabetes: parents, families, friends, employers.<br />

We are the only organization that also supports health care professionals who deliver the care and the scientists who search for<br />

the cure needed by people with diabetes.<br />
