slam latches - multi-point
s e c t i o n 2
EBERHARD
Eberhard’s downsized, smoothaction
slam latch features an
activating handle specifically
designed to fit smaller compartment
doors on farm equipment
enclosures, stationary equipment
and machine tool cabinets.
Even though the new design is
more compact, the latch will still
accommodate the standard sized
components used with Eberhard’s
larger latches (i.e., rods, cable,
end-bolts and rotaries).
The product’s recessed pan permits
flush installation. Simply cut a hole and attach with
screws, bolts or by welding.
• Choice of zinc plating or stainless steel finish.
• Available with mounting holes or blind mount studs.
• Ideally suited for tight spaces.
• Priced less than standard sized slam latches.
The dead-bolt version of Eberhard’s downsized slam latch (No.
3896) can be used with standard 5/16" dia. rods. When coupled
with the Eberhard 561 slam-action strike, it can be used in tight
spaces where a standard end-bolt won’t fit. The patented dead-bolt
feature combines the paddle with the rod, allowing the rod to be
retracted while the paddle is activated. The paddle is retained by a
spring-loaded detent until closed.
